Dear victim,
This is my letter of frustration sent to the General manager of LGM, s'pore since he asked me why i wanted to terminate my contract thro his secretary .

Dear General Manager, M Katherasan,
So you are the only one concerned whether the company is doing well or not, wanted to find out why we would like to cancel the contract and how you can improve the company. The first and only phone reply from LGM is from Ms Chella ( that is after I have CALLED her mobile). The reason she called is not to help me to cancel the contract but because of an order from you to find out why we would like to cancel the deal. We have faxed and sent multiple copies of notice of cancellation and 2 letters to you. I wonder why nobody bother to find out why. Aren’t you curious? Is that how your company does business.
Your staff are extremely nice to us when they wanted to do the sale. Mohan Suphiah has all his time in the world, even volunteer to baby sit my 20 months old boy. And reassured me that if I have any queries, he will always be there. Yet when I called up yesterday, begging liona to pass a message to either Mohan, David Andrew Tiplady or Jeannie, none of them are available to answer my calls or called back later. Liona said that Mohan and Andrew are busy with clients. SO your company is only good at sales but NO AFTER SALES SERVICE. That is the biggest mistake you made. Just a simple reply in phone call all problems could be potentially solved. We waited till 2 am as promised by Liona, no reply.
Jeannie ( the contract officer) explained that she was on leave yesterday and all her colleagues are extremely busy till 12 midnight. Why then no one called back, I gave the permission for your reply call any time till 200am ( because Liona was trying to scare us by saying that the phone call could be at 200 am). We waited. So talked about RELIABILITY – NOPE! TRUSTWORTHY – None.
Just because Jeannie was on leave, does that mean the whole company will collapse. Don’t tell me all the patients that were seen by me will die just because I was on leave and no one else can take care of them.
Liona said that I did not have to teach her how to draft a letter of acknowledge of the notice of cancellation, as there are standard forms available. Well, if it is so simple, why can’t any of the contract officers spare 5 minutes to settle the matter, instead of making your clients worried about it for 24 hours. So talk about EFFICIENCY- NONE! All i wanted was someone to acknowledge the receipt of the notice in writing since it was stated on the contract.
David Andrew Tiplady is the most “charming “ of all. If it is not because of him we won’t be conned into the deal. We were conned by Leisure Holidays timeshare before, wasted lots of money. Somehow he knew our details very well. He was cursing the timeshare and RCI ( saying that it is a Resort you Can’t get Into), CURSING them how they conned people hard earn money. If he could have told us that LGM was originally started with timeshare, we will not buy his words. SO, you even HIDE informations from your clients especially the vulnerable one ( ignorant tourists). HOW UNSCRUPULOUS you are.
Cash Reward guarantee in 5 years. Can you provide any evidence that any Singaporean has received the cash rewards? After timeshare, you convert THE CONTRACT to Concepts Vacation Clubs. After 5years, you convert the cash reward to annual fees.
You send some pitiful A level students to do the survey. The way the survey was conducted making us believe that they are from the reliable Singapore Tourism board. “ How do you find the Christmas deco this year compare to last year?’ How would you suggest we can improve the deco for next Christmas? How often you visited Singapore…..I will check with STB, do you actually give the feed back to STB, after he wasted our precious holidays time. Is it legal to do such a survey in singapore? Is singapore so unlawful?
I manage to get hold of Jeannie today, at 330pm 30dec 2004, all she said “ You must understand we are all busy, I am attending to a client now, shall get back to you in half an hour”. I would expect the first things that she does when she walks thro the office , is to settle the cancellation for us before she starts seeing any clients. I thought Liona said that she will get Jeannie to call us as soon as she gets to office. Again no phone call from any of your staff, except for Chella ‘s call. It is another 50 minutes waiting now!no REPLY
So after all these pains and hassles, should I be happy with your company?

What about yourself, if your staff are doing a good job, will I call up to trouble you. Obviously you are not setting a good example either, perhaps they all learn from you, you did not reply my call either. Did Chella pass the message to you? Or you are just too busy with clients as well. When I called up, they said that YOU WERE BUSY. The line was put on hold for 12-15 minutes then cut off.

You will have a lot of works to do!

Yours,
EU Ley Ping

Dear Liz,

Your messages is well said and well done. They will surely sit up and do something.

I think they are only interested in $$$ commission.

Anyway, you have the right to cancel it right. Don't wait...cos' they will said it is too late to cancel.

This smacks of gross misrepresentation! So the suave and smooth-talking DAVID TIPLADY has migrated from Oriental Travels to LGM. They are all the same. Brotherly families. People from Oriental will migrate to IRN. People from IRN will migrate or headhunted my LGM and to the other timeshare companies/holiday clubs. But there is one common denominator. They tell lies, lies, lies and hookwink the public to get a sale. Caveat Emptor. Go to CASE, make a police report; go and call the Media and band together. Get others who have been cheated together and make a stand. Get this filth way of doing business out of our system and preserve our Singapore image!
