Hi I used to live in s'pore. I feel sad to those people were being cheated by those company. I am one of the lucky couples who doesn't want to sign at few years back. When we walked along orchad road, we was telling that we could get some gift if we came to the office ( after filled the form)for some information.
When we entered the office we saw a maquete and some pictures of the resort. Something bizzard was going on. A few minutes after the presentation began. It was a very odd and boring. Just after few minute the presentation, we stared to leave them. they were surprised and shocked to our act. My husband told them that we were not interesting with your offer. And we left. We knew that is not polite way to say no, but otherwise they would press us to do something regreted. And a good luck for people whose want to get money back.

After reading this forum, can't believe that this fishy business by Oriental Travel is still flourishing since 2004? I just attended a 4 hour talk on Sat 11 feb 2006 but thank God, I almost but luckily did not sign on the dotted line!!
At the back of my mind, I somehow knew that it is a timeshare kind of thing and told my husband not to fall into the trap but he did not believe me so to prove him wrong, I agreed to go with him. Before we went in, We had resolved not to sign anything no matter what they said.
Perhaps, it is the drink they offer us, or maybe the loud music and the sales people, they show us photographs of their memorable trips to holiday destinations, and the sales consultant assigned to us, a 55 year old lady dressed like a gipsy very friendly and associated herself with Jimmy Henrick, some rock star, told us about her family and story, to make us feel that hey these are nice ordinary people.it sort of make us let our guards down..At some point, we are taken in and thought the whole thing was a good deal and almost wanted to give in after a 3 and half hours session.
We are lucky that we DID NOT sign. We also do not intend to claim the gifts after reading the info on this website.
Thinking of asking the media like Straits Time to see if they want to write a story on this sort of scam
