In reply to: Stephen 's message, "IRN/ATC members" on Tue, Mar 29 2005, 8:55:14

I think if you do not pay your maintenance fee, all that would or should happen is that the membership would be repossess by the resort operator(not the marketing company). I think the resort company would not object if you wish to terminate your membership with them.

Dear fellow sufferers, my father was "persuaded" into buying this timeshare by IRN and have paid about half the total sum of sin$21000, by the time i have found out about this.
By the time that we have called and visited IRN to cancel the subscription and instalments, we were threatened with lawyer letters, lawsuit and such.
I like to find out the relevant actions and whether we are able to collect our paid amount of money back.
Am surprised with the moderated protection from government that this type of case still happen in singapore.
Do CASE and the Companies act actually do enough to legislate and protect the consumers in Singapore from such unfair practice?
Is the relevant authorities aware of such issues and not doing anything about it?
Why is such companies allowed to register in SIngapore ?
Do we have to approach our voted constituency members to assist in this matter?
These are all the questions we need to ask.

Anyhow, still in negotiation with the IRN people and think any help or assistance will be appreciated from all victims.
Share the knowledge and fight .

thks
