Guys.. if you are going to take legal action againts LGM, please count me in. My dad bought the timeshare couple years ago for around 20k and we never use it. The marketing agent in LGM told him before that they can help him if my dad decide going to sell the timeshare.. but now.. they said that they dont do resale.. and told us to contact other agent.

It's been a big regret for me and my family when we defencelessly taken into their rap. And this night mare has not ended. On the 1st of June 2004, we received a letter from RCI that they would like to terminate their affiliate with HMI-Calypso. I called this scum company LGM to find out what will be happen next. And this scumbag Alvin asked me to come down to LGM 14th floor to discuss of what they so call "SOLUTION" to help member. I came to their office and expected to listen what are their design this time.

They start with all conversation as real that they care about you and your family. When I asked him to help to sell my ownership as they had already promise before we signed up, simply they said that without exchange program the ownership will be zero in value. As I asked they explained that LGM is the one who cancelled affiliation with RCI. The reason is because many members are not satisfy with RCI's service and bla bla bla. Anyway, at the end they show their true motives, they start to give those "SOLUTION" that contains 3 options which all involve MONEY. All of them needs additional lots of money. Other wise we have to satisfy by staying at Calypso only forever.

One is to get another exchange company II, secondly to join CVC and the 3rd one is to get "CASH BACK " as mention by other fellowship above. After explaining all the options, then they start with they rap. Asking you which are the option is suitable for you, will you sign straight away on that day if you think the price is "affordable". Without further agreement from you they will put all those question above as follows:
- (No. of option preferred)eg. 3
- Like
- Clear
- affordable
- Today.

and all with the tick mark next to it. Then if you understand of they explaination and wanna to find out the price each, they will asked you to sign on their paper. Then after you signed Alvin will come to the room to inform the price and immediate asked you to pay and convert. When you point out your arguement, they just simply said that they can just sell to you and walk away without giving you any solution. We argued for quite long time. Then he forced me to admit that you won't except their offer and that they will close your file and asked you to liason directly with Calypso. I left with much anger in my chest. If help, I got all the copies of note taken down during the presentation of this solution.

I really wonder in a country such as Singapore with all the complains about LGM, it still exist and let to be getting worse. Are we really can't do anything about it? Must we let our hard earning which we get from sacrisfying our time away from our loves one easily taken away by that irresponsible and inhuman company when they know that the purpose of us to join them is to give the best as we can to share with loves one?

We walked out of LGM office on Monday 28 Jun after this so-called customer service manager gave us an ultimatum of two days (30 Jun) to make a decision to fork out an additional SGD15K to convert to CVC with the so-called dubious "cash-back" scheme (or scam). A take it or leave it attitude. What arrogance!

The manager refused to address the following even though this is second meeting and he promised he would address these issues we raised in the 1st meeting:

1. What will stop the owners of LGM from pulling out of CVC after we convert? NO ANSWER

2. We requested for a black and white explaination (formal letter) from LGM stating the reasons (only verbal so far) why LGM pulled out from RCI. NOT ONLY REFUSED, but basically told rudely don't waste his time. This brings serious doubts about the validity of their complaints against RCI.

3. The company administrating the cash back is incorporated in the UK. Yeh, like we should just believe? After all the previous rounds of lies (which he blames on the sales team), are we supposed to just believe that they are telling the truth now?

There was a couple before us who unfortunately fell for the high-pressuer tactics and we saw them part with more precious money to convert to CVC.

We are looking for legal help against LGM. Are there any more out there in a similar situation who are willing to attempt a class action law suit against LGM?
