Hi All,

To cut a long story short, background info, bought timeshare unit @ beachcomber Aust. with IRN paid fully but did not get my cert of ownership, took them to court, & IRN settle it out of court.
Used it twice once to malaysia & to Aust. Tried to sell it many times, paid mastreoand to the chap called John Tan (whom I belived hve been caught for bogus reselling tech) both useless, waste of time & money.

Finally wrote to my resort & ask them if they can sell/buy my unit.
They hve an dept that does that, & last week the check just cleared, phew load of my chest.

So, if u hve a unit somewhere, it might be worth ur salt to write to the resort & ask.

cheers

You must be the damned lucky! First person i know in my years with timeshare and holiday club who managed to get back some money. Perhaps u can let us know the details of your membership. How much did you pay for the Beachcomber Australia timeshare and when? Was it a Studio, 1BD or 2BD membership. What was the maintenance fee per year? Was yours an Alternate or Full membership? Did u take up and instalment scheme or pay in full? What I know is that IRN never sold Beachcomber timeshare. IRN use to sell Multitiple Travel Club and is now selling Asian Travel Club timeshare membership. And finally how much did you sell the membership to your club for? Please reply and I am sure this will be great news to all those people straddled with their memberships....

Hi All,

I bought my Beachcomber & fully paid in 2-3 yrs(installment), after which I did not get my ownership cert, so took IRN to court & they settled it compensation. That's another story.

My ex Beachcomber is a red season, odd & even unit. That means I can go back every yr, also mean I hve to pay $450 +/- each yr. I paid 14,500 plus 500(fees) for it. This was in the 90's. Used the exchange with RCI a few times to Malaysia & Australia.

Finally sold it back to the Resort for 1700 +/- Aus.
They actually can rent it out for me @ 600 Aus, but I just want to hve closure on this, even if I sold it @ a lost.

Hope my chapter can help, if anyone requires more info let me know.
