Kenneth asked if I'd heard the Billy Mays joke, I said nope.
Here goes...
You know how they say celebrities go in threes? You know Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Micheal Jackson all around the same time? Well Billy Mays just couldn't help throwing in a freebie!
Funny but wrong I know.

now I am very used to earthquakes being from California. we had one today that caentered only 2 miles from my house here in NJ. It was a whopping 2.7 and they actually activated the reverse 911 to inform everyone what had happened. I didnt even feel it. I was reading the local news and saw that there were also earthquakes today in Maui, washington, and Delaware too. Think that means anything alot of these places never get earthquakes.

I just got back from vacation to Williamsburg and Chicoteague Virginia. Went with My friend from work Michelle her son and Myself and Rachel. had a great time and nice to have a friend along and we split all expenses. we saw the wild ponies went to the beach, went to colinial williamsburg and Buch gardens. fewer people must be taking vacations this year Busch gardens was not crowed at all, and I was talking to the girl at the desk in Chicoteague and she said they are not even booked for the week of the pony swim and are usually booked months in advance and all the other hotels on the island were reporting the same. Shocked by all the deaths too. Thought the same thing about Farrahs death being over shadowed. the paper Friday had a huge picture of Micheal Jackson and a much smaller black and white of Farrah pages later.
Laughed on my way home as I drove through Salsbury Maryland and told my friend Michelle abouth the old chat room and Silly who lives in Salsbury. hey silly if you are stalking the board.
had a nice time. anyone else doing vacation this year or is the economy holding you back??

last night was the local relay for life. If you dont know what it is its an overnight walk that raises money for cancer research. It is held at schools and you have a team that must have at least one person walking at all times. The veent runs from 5 pm to 9 am and everyone has tents in the middle of the track. we yesterday it rained non stop here and the event was moved into the school and people lapped the halls. This was my first year being involved. Didnt have a team but wanted to help out. I getting a team next year found many people at work who want to help, but too late for this year. anyhow, Rachel and I bought Luminaries for Her grandfather and I bought one for one of our residents who is presently losing her battle. The ceremony is usually the bags are put out with candles in the field spelling out the words hope. being indoors it was in the gym with twinkle light between all the bags. I really hit me walking in there how many people battle cancer :(. we walked amoung the bags until we found Rachels Poppaw. she sat in front of it for about 1/2 an hour crying. I felt so bad, but she really understood what the night was all about. we did a few laps and hung out until almost midnight. they shoertend it to 1am since there was no where to pitch tents inside. It was an inspiring night. I feel anyone wh is connected with loss in anyway can get something out of involvement in this. It was also fun. but this morning my legs were having Charlie Horses. Mabbe I should stopped at the booth doing foot and leg massages :)

I opened my store a couple of years ago in June 2007. The first summer, I didn't notice it, but during the first months of the second summer, I kept getting this bill from my gas company each month. It was small, only 13 dollars and change, but I was curious as to why I had to pay a gas fee when the only thing we use gas for in the store is heat during the winter.
I called them up and asked why and they let me know that it was a service fee for having their system hooked up, administration fees, blah blah blah. Basically saying we're taking your money for doing nothing, IMHO.
Since that time, I thought, "I'll get them this year". At 13 bucks a month for like 4 months (June-September), that's 52 bucks. No huge amount for sure, but still, it's no small amount either.
I called them up and told them I wanted to disconnect the service for the next four months because we don't use it and that I'd have it reconnected in the fall. The customer service rep said, that's fine, but there will be a reconnection fee.
Guess how much the reconnection fee was?
$52.00.
I am shitting you not. I laughed and said, "Well...it looks like you guys get your money from us one way or another, huh?" Customer service rep says....nothing. I say, after waiting about ten seconds, "have a nice day, now" and hang up after she returns the sentiment.
I think this is pretty fucked up. I'm talking a HUGE gas company here that handles hundreds of thousands of people. You take situations like mine where we don't use gas during the summer. Even if there were only 10,000 (and I'm sure there must be more than, but let's get an even figure to work with) people like me, they're paying the same fees I am during the summer and this company is making $520,000 for doing nothing more than sending us a bill each month for four months.
I'm no expert, but I don't think it costs that much to do that, being that it's all mostly automated. It's not bad enough that we pay out the ass for gas during the winter, but we've got to get reamed some more during the summer months? Gotta love it, lol.

10. "Mrs. Robinson, are you trying to seduce me?"
The Graduate (1967) - The quote in the actual movie was not a question at all. Instead, Benjamin simply stated, "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me."
9. "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto"
The Wizard of Oz (1939) - The real movie line is slightly different, and less certain. When Dorothy arrived in Oz she said, "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more."
8. "If you build it, they will come"
Field of Dreams (1989) - There's a slight variance from the popular line that is constantly quoted. Instead, the real quote is, "If you build it, he will come."
7. "Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a damn"
Gone With the Wind (1939) - Rhett Butler is often misquoted in one of the most popular movie lines of all time. He never says "Scarlett" in the famous line and instead stated, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
6. "Beam me up, Scotty"
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) - The most well known "Star Trek" line, "Beam me up, Scotty" was never actually said in any of the Star Trek films. Instead Kirk said, "Scotty, beam us up."
5. "Hello, Clarice"
The Silence of the Lambs (1991) - The creepy line uttered by Dr. Hannibal Lecter was quite different than it is remembered. He, in fact, said, "Good evening, Clarice."
4. "Play it again, Sam."
Casablanca (1942) - Turns out that Humphrey Bogart never said these famous four words. Instead, the closest he came was, "You played it for her, you can play it for me. If she can stand it, I can. Play it!"
3. "Do you feel lucky, punk?"
Dirty Harry (1971) - The actual line in this movie is far less catchy: "You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?"
2. "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?"
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937) - Every day the queen consulted her mirror on the wall, however, instead of the famous quote we remember, she called, "Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?"
1. "Luke, I am your father"
The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - This commonly quoted line, which Darth Vader was known to utter to young Luke Skywalker, was never said at all. The real movie line was "No, I am your father."

O.K. so summer is coming up and I need a new t.v. series to watch, what do you suggest? I've watched/watch ER, Greys, Gilmore Girls, NYPD Blue, Third Watch, Sopranos,
So what do you think I'd like for the summer? I dont care if its still on, as long as its been a few years already so I have a lot to watch. I seem to get burned out on movies. Oh and it doest matter if its on cable. I am watching United States of Tara right now but its only in its first season.
I dont have a problem getting episodes ;o)
So give me some ideas!

- House! I'm surprised you watched ER and Greys but not House. It's a bit formulaic in the middle seasons but still good. For the mind candy: Supernatural is fun. A bit campy but actually scary at times too. Somewhere in the third season it started poking fun at itself. 4th seasons so far and they're only doing one more. The Office and 30 rock are under appreciated (though season one of the Office is probably the least awesome). A show that is newer but still good: Fringe - if you liked the early X-files - you'll like it. Give it about 6 episodes to get into its groove. They build a lot of back story quickly. first off where the heck is everyone???
well the other day i got a bill in the mail from the hospital where I recently recieved an infusion of factor 8 prior to dental work. Now I have had this infusion several times, most recently when I had surgery. so anyhow, the bill is for $99,000.00. My portion is $1000.
I had received a statement from the insurance last week and said WTF it must be a typo, then I got the bill. Heres my issue, I KNOW that the treatment only cost $5000. a dose. I had infusions every 4 hours the first 2 days after surgery and every 8 hours the next 2 days, plus had surgery and stayed in the hospital for 4 days and that bill was only $56,000. so how does the insurance company not get they are being ripped off and what do I do ??
It would cut my responsibility to $500. if they only charge the $5000. how the hell can they get away with this?? What should I do??

I really hope these folks stay down to earth. I watched the "pilot" a while back and the thing that caught me, was the sextuplets were not all matched up. The parents even admitted they are all hand me downs. The first episode so far is cute, dad making a complete mess with the kids, glue and glitter!
The last episode of the season for Jon and Kate, boo hoo Jon doesnt like being in the public eye. Since he was photographed with some college girls while he went out. I guess he's tired of all the freebies to? I know I am tired of the tanning booth looks OMG Kate looks like leather. Also I noticed how bratty the kids are getting. The way they talked to some helpers at an art place.
I am sure I'll watch the train wreck when it comes back.
For now it'll be Table For 12, and Toddlers and Tiaras.

The actor Ron Silver died a few days back at 62 from cancer. You might remember him as the bad guy, Senator McComb from the movie Time Cop with Van Damme and I read that he also had a recurring role on the show "The West Wing". I liked him in Time Cop and thought he did a good job (pretty much the only Van Damme movie that I would watch more than once, lol). I always wondered if he didn't get as much play in movies because he resembled Andy Garcia too much.
I kind of figured someone would post about it, but like I said in the title of this post...I guess he wasn't that popular to those that frequent this board and there wasn't a major news break on it. The only place I saw news that he had died was on yahoo mail when I first signed in.
Anyways, have a good day!

I'm officially a College student. My first class is tomorrow. I am taking 2 classes because it is a short semester so they only offer a few classes. I'm taking Intro to public speaking which is required for my AA and applied ethics which counts as 3 out the 6 required humanities credits I need. I'm super excited I can't wait to get back in the classroom.

yeah I have hung in there all these years watching ER. Now they are in the final few episodes and everyone is coming back. I thought it was totally cool that George Clooney came back. I am glad he gets that it was that show that got him where he is now. It has been very cool to see the old faces popping up. This is probably the longest running show I have watched since like little house when I was a kid. I will be sad to see it go.

well Friday I went to the workmans comp orthpedist I had been referred to. He believe I have significant nerve damage in my neck. From his examination he discribed exactly the angle of my head at impact that caused the injury. and pushing on a specific spot made my whole arm and hand numb. I have to go get an EMG done. A great test where they stick you with needles and send electricity though the nerve to measure the damage. Its gonna be great fun. I am just hoping it is not permanent damage. Its already been almost 2 months. I have a little inprovement but not alot. Funny thing is I saw this doctor about 4 years ago. he remebered everything about me. things that would not have been in my file. he noticed I had lost weight too. Yeah I may be really out of practice, but I think we were flirting. very unethical, and so not me.

- Lent... -- dalez, 16:10:19 03/04/09 Wed (adsl-69-236-71-214.dsl.pltn13.pacbell.net/69.236.71.214)
I had to laugh today in the gym I was reading/watching CNN they had a story about how the Catholic Church would have liked Catholics to give up their smart phones and searching the web! I guess that does make my chocolate candy sacrifice look pretty week! Yes and I've only given up chocolate candies. But its a big thing, we are M&M addicts around here, that and those malted Easter eggs? But I've done well so far.
Its the first time I can remember giving something up for Lent, and the only reason I was reminded was on Ash Wednesday, I went by the admin's desk in the office and she always has candy out. Well this day there was a note, reminding us it was Ash Wed, and the candy would be back tomorrow. So I went and did some research and decided why not give up chocolate candies.
Did any of you give anything up?
I was raised Catholic, I remember having to leave our church when my parents got divorced. They cuold be pretty harsh back in 1970. I am glad my Mom found a Catholic church that welcomed us with open arms.

we are prepping for this huge tour, where a local cogressman is coming to our facility. He is one of the people who allocates funding for programs such as ours. any way we are in the middle of what I refer to as the dog and pony show. where we dress everything and everyone up to make things look good. I have been ruuning around non stop for the last week. Then friday I was supposed to go prep the day program, but was unable to get there as planned. Any how the girl who runns the day program had a special project she wanted me to do. We have a bulliten board in the leisure area that says friday is movie day. It is blank except for a cut out of a take clapboard. My assignment was to do a academy awards winners board. she said she knew I would know who won what etc. so I stayed late to make it. I spent some time on line down loading picture and then put it together. It looks awesome if I do say so myself. so I scored almost 3 hours of overtime and had fun doing it. :)

well its almost time for what I call the pre game show (the red carpet). I was thinking how much I miss the old days when we had silly's oscar board. I was so proud the year I won. I remeber when chat exsisted and we would have oscar chat during the show "wtf is she wearing" and the on going tally of who was in the lead on the oscar board. I miss chat in general and naked friday quoting. lol
well enjoy the show. Hoping Hugh Jackman does a good job. I like him.

well I have finally emerged from my vicadin fog.
I had my 3 teeth pulled Wed. I had to get a IV infusion of clotting agent prior to the proceedure. I still had clotting issues after but it finally stopped/ went to work Thursday and the day was a blur. today someone said to me I was basically sleeping standing up . I probably looked like a junkie. I gave a disclaimer at my preshift meeting, I said " I had 3 teeth pulled yesterday, bled alot, didnt sleep last night, and Im taking Vicaden." my mouth is finally feeling better, just ate some real food :) yesterday i had to have a mri for my neck injury that hasnt cleared up yet. They want to send me to a ortho who specializes in botox injections into the muscle to stop the spasms. very interesting. I threw a baby shower for my boss yesterday and was saying I am determined that now that my teeth are "fixed" and I finally had my surgery, I am going to be better. I am sick off all the heatlh issues. No pun intended. I also found during my surgery recoup and post injury, how many peopel I work with who are drug seeking. several people actually asked me for pain pills. I avaoid taking them because I know the risk of dependency and it makes me sad how many people use them for recreation.
