So I mentioned below somewhere about investing in a Camera for Kenneth. Well last weekend we bought him a Canon Rebel,with and extra telephoto lense and other stuff. Today we went to the Cold Water Classic surf competition.

I was at the doctors today and they were discussing the bail out plan. someone had figured out that the money being used equates to $250, 000.00 per tax paying american. why not pay it out to us that would stimulate the economy. It would stimulate the housing market, retail, auto, etc. Man hand me $250,000.00 and I am buying a new house, car, and probably some stocks too.

The phillies made it to the world series. everyone is going nuts here. Phiadelhia never seems to win anything. They seem to make it to play offs alot and then choke. same thing last time they made the series. I freaked out when they put Mitch Williams in in the last game and he blew it. at least now they have a great pitching team. :)

well I have started my Christmas shopping already.
I was talking to people at work about hard to get items and ebay and decided to take a chance and make an investment that I hope pays off. I bought a Elmo live doll today before they all sold out. It cost $65, but I figure I can probably double that on ebay closer to the Holiday. was it a good investment?? anyone else ever buy something just to sell it on ebay for profit??

The fact that I am now "single" makes me more attractive to people. I have several men wanting to date me. I now also have a group of friends who want me to hang out with them after work, and I do on days I dont have Rachel. On days that I do have Rachel I have several friends fighting for my time for play dates, outings etc. I knew all these people before except for a few of the men, but before the invites were not as many or as oftened. now its like when do I have time to fit all this in. was it the fact I was married or my husband?? also my last boyfriend from before Dale is trying to rekindle our relationship. He too is getting divorced. We dated 15 years ago and stayed friends and married others, now we are both starting over and he wants it to be together. I am not so sure I am ready, but he assures me we can go out as friends. yeah thats how Dale and I started out. the two of us have 7 children between us 2 of his and 2 of mine are adults. he has twin 8 year old boys which he has custody of I Rachel is 5. Brady bunch anyone?? anyhow my "friend" sent me a dozen red roses in a crystal vase. whens the last time you got a friend gift like that?

We've been continually out of gas around here. They're trying to blame it on Ike but I'm betting none of you are having problems getting gas, are you? Stupid gas hoarders. We're paying around $4.99 a gallon though some assholes in SC were charging $7 a gallon last week!

well you know how once you get paid for something you go from amatuer to pro??
well in the last few months I have been paid to make 8 pieces of beaded jewelry. I make bracelets for medi alert tag and people starting asking me to make things once they asked where I got them. Its really a hobby, but I actually had someone ask me if I would do pieces for her to sell in her store. I dont have the time for it though, so I just do small pieces for friends and co workers. Yesterday I became a professional photographer. I have always been the offical photographer at work, but nothing big. just me shooting with disposibles , but now that i got my fancy new camera, I was asked to shoot the family day picnic, so I was paid to walk around taking pictures all day. I did some great shots if I do say so myself. everyone who had looked at the pictures loves them. so I have yet another skill I can list on my resume of life.

I don't know about you guys, but we've already gotten a pre-emptive hike in price at the gas pump. It's back up to $4 here. If Ike does major damage, I think we'll see $5 easy.

well ya know the expression raining cats and dogs, well today it literally was, cats anyway. I was out shopping and some ***hole threw a kitten out behind the complex. the girls at the store were trying to find someone to take it so they didnt have to call animal contol. I was pouring and thundering. the poor thing was limping. Yup I am the sucker who took her home. I took her to the vet, she has a broken pelvis and a respritory infection. Luckily the vet is a friend and I dont pay. her anti biotic was a whole $11 at the pharmacy. I find it funny you get animal perscriptions filled at the regular pharmacy. any how we have named her stormy due to weather conditions during her untimely arrival. she has to get fixed, because from the fracture she cant deliver. I hope who ever did this meets thier karma.

I have only ever had one actual bumper sticker. it was on my van and said "proud to be a United staes veteran" and has a flag on it. I will not permanently afix anything to my car that I do not strongly believe in.
Anyhow At present time I have three mangentic embelishments on my car. the first is the prerequisite yellow ribbon with we support our troops on it. The second is a purple ribbon which reads "support Bitching" That one gets lots of attention. sorta surprised it hasnt been stolen yet. The third is a magnetic bumper sticker that says dont be trashy recycle. I went to a local fund raiser car wash today and the girls washing my car were reading my stuff cracking up.
does anyone else have lets say car art?? if so what? I also have a tweety head on my antena which I use to find my car in parking lots.

well the remainder of Hannah blew into town last night and is still blowing pretty good right now. Her arrival postponed our local septemberfest. In the 21 years i have lived here it has never been rained on postponed or anything andd from what i hear it has never happened in the last 60 years of the event. so now they are palnning on everything happening tommarrow, since the storm is going elsewhere tonight and its supposed to be nice tommarrow. they cant do next week because all the vendors, amusements and half the entertainment is booked elsewhere. I have to work tommarrow so I will miss all the day festivities and I dont think we can stay for the fireworks since its a school night. at least it wasnt a full blown hurricane and no one got hurt. i have always found it amusing that people ask me about earth quakes and how can you live somewhere you know there will be earthquakes. quakes come and go before you really know it and these storms you know are coming to get you and you just sit and wait. Give me an earthquake any day.

well rachel started kindergarten yesterday. All my kids are now either done with or actually in school :(

I had my little midlife crisis after she went off to school and rather than sleeping with lots of people or buying a sports car, I did what i always seem to do when I am majorly stressing. I did something drastic to my hair. My hair has been messy curly long and red for the last 3 years or so. I rarely change the color, maybe a slight change in red to auburn for fall, more strawberry in summer, but the cut rarely changes. so yesterday i went totally psycho and had my hair chemically straightened and then razor cut. It now falls shulder length in the front and a few inches longer in the back and it totally straight. I dont think its had been really straight since my teens, when my mom took pity on me and let me get it straightened for my 16th birthday. so today i go to work and everyone is freaking out. oh my god you look so good, wow you look hot, your hair looks great. so did I look like shit before?? I now the day after dont regret, but wonder at the wisdom of my choice.My hair has thinned because of my lovely ovary disease and the curl made it look fuller. everyone seems to thing I am now on a man hunt, which im not. I just freaked out after sending my baby off to school. someone said what are you going to do when she goes to college shave your hed. heck i will be pushing 60 buy then. by then i could be bald naturally.

O.K. its the elephant of the MB, politics, I notice there arent any post about them really. And I totally understand, I really dont want to be attacked for the way I vote.
