I stated in my original post that I think the death penalty is "barbaric". It is, I can find no other word to describe it. I stand by all the statements I have made on this subject. If they disappoint you, or anyone else, then that's too bad. I won't be losing any sleep over it. I will reiterate, however, that my attack was on the death penalty itself and its proponents, not on the USA.

You must admit, this debate has livened up the board. I was beginning to think it too had suffered the death penalty.;)
