Subject: Morning Miss V! Ugh...horribly tired. Stayed up too late watching Olympics and talking to my sister, and then, just when I went to bed, a major thunderstorm hit with lots of nasty lightning. There was this one bolt that struck right outside and it was like time slowed down--the room filled with a green glow, and then everything went black. It was the coolest thing, LOL. But now I'm fricken exhausted. Want sleep! So, how are you? What'd the doctor say?

Got on OK at the hospital, took all afternoon waiting around for stuff. I tell ya, a mamogramme is nearly as undignified as the the smear test. Painful too. still she couldn't find anything to worry about, memo to self, check more often! Worried Pete by texting him saying I'm at the hospital and I'll call later, of course he thought I was in casualty or something and kept on trying to call me but the phone was switched of.

Madonna was good last night, I managed to have a row with this couple who were blocking everyone's view, got really mad with them then stormed off for a fag and text Pete. he told me to push 'em:0)

Getting ready for the festival, its going to be cold and wet and no Jet worse luck

[> [> AJ and I were out playing tennis (well, sort of--it was more like world's funniest sports bloopers where I was concerned) while the storm was building--it was just absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had my camera. I love a good storm. :) -- Dhvana, 09:11:55 08/20/04 Fri

Ick. See, this is why I avoid doctors at all costs. No fun at all! (And to be quite honest, if there is something wrong with me, I don't want to know--denial rules!) LOL--next time you'll remember to tell him it's just for a check up.

My cubical mate is gone today, damnit. There goes all my entertainment.

Why is it there's always someone at a concert who has to ruin it for everyone else? I agree with Pete--should've pushed them. ;)

[> [> [> comedy tennis, I like it:0) WE've got a good tennis match coming up in November, MacEnroe V Tim Henman, and we all know who is going to win - Go John Go! -- vx, 09:45:19 08/20/04 Fri

[> [> [> [> Yeah, I was pretty bad. But then, I haven't played since I was a kid. Whereas AJ used to compete in high school, so while she's a little rusty, at least she can hit the ball. It was fun though. :) -- Dhvana, 10:04:30 08/20/04 Fri

[> [> [> [> [> [> LOL--they'd kick our asses. It would be hilarious. But of course, by then, I may actually be able to return the ball. We're going to try and play regularly, and I'm going to try and practice on the nights she's at work.... -- Dhvana, 10:18:03 08/20/04 Fri

The court where we played at last night had a board to practice against. The thing is, this place was located in a park right next to a wooded nature walk/bike/jog trail. Every time--and I mean every goddamn fucking time--I tried to hit the ball against the board it went over the fence and into the woods. EVERY. TIME. And since there was a playground within hearing distance, I had to watch my language and would end up shouting out these garbled swear words so I wouldn't offend the kiddies. Funniest damn thing you ever did see. Even when AJ and I were playing each other, at least every third or fourth ball I'd end up hitting over the fence. The court really needs higher fences, LOL. So, I've got a lot of work to do.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> I remember she was saying she'd like to play more, its such good exercise too. NOw me, I have no eye hand coordination whatsoever, miss every shot and heaven forbid I try to make a proper serve -- vx, 10:28:42 08/20/04 Fri

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Yeah, my hand-eye coordination isn't the greatest, though it's something that'll improve with time (here's hoping). My depth perception, though, is a mess, so that's not helping either. And it is good exercise. :) I'm looking into tennis clubs around the city so we can play year round (if they have indoor courts) and at night--lights would be helpful. We chose the only public court without lights last night, LOL. Plus lessons. Lessons would be good. -- Dhvana, 10:35:29 08/20/04 Fri
