Well, you prpbably won't be doing much pointe work ince you're new to it. I think the previous message about the Freeman products cleared up your question, but along the same lines, how about keeping your shoes fresh? You will defiantly want to since your parents just spent 70 dollars on shoes. Be sure to take them off right after class, folding the heel down and wrapping the ribbons properly. And always make sure you take the pads out of the shoes once you are done dancing. Put the pads in a seperate bag made of breathable material, like light cotton or mesh, and put your pointe shoes in a mesh bag. Some pointe shoes come in their own bags, like my first pair of pointe shoes. (Freed Studios) Make sure you give them about 2 days if not more to dry. Once they are dry, if there is a smell about them, gently spray a little FeBreeze (or a reasonable facsimile) inside the shoes. JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO SOAK THEM! That should do it for keeping your shoes fresh. And remember, never get your shoes wet! Good luck and have fun on pointe!
