Subject: Task 10 - Gaffes: Involuntary Indiscretions

A theme I though would be interesting was something about adolescents' behavior and how other understand teenagers' way of live. Interestingly, I read an article which teaches pre-adults how not to committe gaffes. The first topic is "The things you should never do". De Menezes' article teaches teenagers that one should never tell other the end of a movie, one should never keep money when they should have received less money: one should always give the rest of money back, and one of the funniest: one should never take the biggest piece of cake. Also, under the topic "Some questions to avoid whenever possible", the author says that questions such as: "How old are you", "Where were you", "Is this your father? (it can be her date, you never know...)", "Were you invited to that party? (hey, if the person was friends with the people that gave the party and they forgot to invite this person, it would be really a bad situation wouldn't it?)"
"Are you still single?? (the person will feel pressured to have someone)", "Are you pregnant? (well..the person may be just a little..overweight...)" should never be asked. Finally, in the article's last section "Always try to be polite" de Menezes give teenagers some tips of good manners: "try always to be on time", "remember people's names as well as the closest people's birthday".
