Subject: Task 11

It was a difficult task to accomplish. I first tried to find at Time web site, and I didn’t, I think because I got interested in the Saddan’s article, precisely the whole where he stayed in since I hadn’t seen the whole, so I was pretty amazed! Anyway the article I read about Christmas was from Newsweek and it was about Christmas sales, which is a subject that thrills everyone. Although the article doesn’t show a satisfactory statistic for retailers this year in the US, I’ve read an article in Veja magazine that says that the economy back in the US is growing again, mainly because of this wonderful holiday that is Christmas. The article in Newsweek says that retailers hope to make 217.4 billion in sales. On the other hand, some consultants aren’t as optimistic as the retailers. According to them (the consultants) estimate a 4% increase only, not a 5.7% as the retailers expect, due to the great number of families that are to spend less than the previous year. I chose this article because I love shopping, especially Christmas! It’s the best holiday!
