It was really difficult to find interesting articles about Christmas in the websites proposed by Vera. Some texts were exclusive for people who are subscribed in those sites, and the ones I read hardly called my attention. Besides, all the newspapers and magazines are paying too much attention to Saddam nowadays. However, I read an interesting article written by Michele Orecklin and published on “Time Online Edition”. She is suggesting that parents give their kids interesting books as Christmas presents. She makes an interesting and funny comment about children and books when she writes that books “most kids are likely to rank books above only socks”. However, she gives good options of interesting books to children. According to a children's-book editor interviewed by Orecklin, the sales of children’s books increase 40% during November and December, and so, most of the releases are made during these months. Orecklin’s suggestions go from a new pop-up version of “Alice’s Adventures” which mixes the traditional pop-up pages with a beautiful set of cards to the Harry Poter’s series best sellers. The good point in this article is the suggestion for a good present to children for Christmas, since books are always good options.
