Subject: Task11

I must confess I really loved this week task. I read several news about Saddan and the hole he was in. Most of the sites I didn’t know and I really enjoy read articles and news. I loved it, but it was a little hard to find articles about Christmas, maybe because the world is so concerned with political problems that forget about Christmas spirit.
The first article I read was one from Newsweek about “The Garden Island/ Zonta Club” Christmas Fund. Every year, community members are asked to make donations to these institutions. In fact, they try to make the holidays a little bit happier for those in need. With the help of community agencies, Zonta Club members identify families who will not have a merry Christmas without help. Every day from now until Christmas, The Garden Island will publish stories about people who could use some assistance
The other one I also took from Newsweek. It is an article about a Christian relief program that helps millions of children every year, and it starts with a simple shoebox in North Platte. This kind of program is designed to help children in third world countries celebrate Christmas. Volunteers unload wrapped shoeboxes. They are Christmas packages filled with gifts and Christmas blessings. These Christmas boxes will be sent to ninety countries across the world, through a christian relief program, called Operation Christmas Child, which helps children in third world countries suffering from disasters like war, poverty, neglect and illness.
The last article that I picked up talks about holiday movies the whole family can enjoy. It is said in this article that winter is the perfect time to hit the video store, throw a log in the fire, pop some popcorn and enjoy a holiday movie with your family. Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, these films can be a terrific way to enjoy the spirit of the season. At the end of it, there is a list of the 12 most famous movies about Christmas.
