WHAT SHOULD WE INCLUDE IN OUR FIRST MESSAGE?

In a first message to a keypal we should write about ourselves: how we are, what we do, where we live and the things we like to do. We should also mention our objectives in communicating with someone through the Internet. It is also interesting to mention why we chose that specific person to communicate with. Another important point that should be highlighted in our first message is our performance in English. We should include any information about our learning process: our difficulties, our aims in learning English and how we think communicating with people throughout the Internet will help us in the development of our written language. As Vera mentioned, any information about the place we live would be interesting, so our keypal would be invited to visit some websites about Brazil, especially Minas Gerais and Belo Horizonte. In order to conclude our first message, we should ask for the reader’s answer, as well as his/her impressions about us.
