Subject: My Reading # 3

Using Dogs to Sniff Out Mold in Homes
The text is about how trained dogs can sniff mold in houses. It’s very common in Europe and now it’s headed to the U.S. These trained dogs can easily identify a spot in a house where molds are found. Mold can cause, accordingly to the article many diseases including asthma. The cost of using those dogs is lower that to hire a company for the job, and also it saves you time.
I did the exercises and I thought it was great, it tests the vocabulary, collocation and asks for our opinion related to the article read. It was awesome! Though my performance on the “numbering the paragraphs” was low (57%) the other exercises I went above average I’d say. It’s a highly recommended web-site, especially for students of English, because besides giving a text to be read, it also works on the assimilation of the vocabulary; the construction of sentences, and their order within the text; and finally it works on the production of meaning by the reader. Just loved it!

By the way, I’ve found a keypal already, his name is James, he’s American but he’s been living in the U.K.
