Subject: making a keypal

What should we include in our first message? To be honest, I don’t know what we should include in our first message, but I know exactly what I should include, which is mostly about myself since I feel more confidence in talking about something I really know. On the contrary of my colleagues, I wouldn’t write in my first message information about my city or even my country because I must first be sure if they are interested in that. Actually, I am aware that talking about me can also be uninteresting, but I’m sure I can find at least one person who likes talking about him or her as well, in order for us to share our likes, dislikes, relationships, friendships, professions, desires, dreams, future plans, and so on. As Thiago said, the person that communicates with me will have a reason to do so and it is important for me to let this person know it as well as the opposite. Therefore, I guess this person will have probably a similar objective when communicating with me, which is to describe him/herself and get to know better another person from a totally distinct country with totally different tastes, etc.
