1. The text I chose was Los Angeles Area Gets a New Spider

2. The text talks about a kind of tropical spider known as “Brown Widow” that has been discovered by a 4th-grade student while on a field trip by the Museum, and has been captured, and now is part of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County’s ongoing Spider Survey, and the public can go to the Museum’s Insect Zoo to see it. According to the associate curator of entomology Brian Brown, this spider originated in Africa, and probably came to the Southland through plants, flowers, food, or furniture in commercial imports. So the Brown Widow is very rare in Los Angeles area. The good news about Brown Widow is that they are not as aggressive as the lack Widow, but they are twice as poisonous.

4. I liked this site, except that in order to read some articles, you need to be a member of English-Zone.Com. The division in level of difficulties is very good, and help us choosing a better text, according to our level.
