Subject: Task 2 READING

1) I chose the text about Thomas Edison.
2) The text tells the story of the inventor of the light bulb. It makes known to the reader that Edison not only invented the light bulb but also many other important things such as the phonograph. He was mostly a self-educated man as he spent only two months in school and learned most of what he knew through his curiosity. He had many jobs but his main interest was experimenting on things. He was almost deaf and regarded that as something positive as it kept conversations short.
3)The exercises are short and they seem to be aimed at intermediate students so I did very well in them. I got 100% in the comprehension and vocabulary tasks.
4)The texts are short and easy to read. They are not too complicated and at the same time not too easy and pointless.
