Subject: High School Girls

I teach at my old high school. It's all girls and allllll Catholic. So while we are a closet whore factory, some of them are actually smart when it comes to music.

One day a kid, lets call her Ashley, said Hey, Miss B, ever heard of Bamboozle? I said yeah, I know a band playing there. I told her to list the bands she knew to see if you were one. And you were. So we put on the latest demo cd that I listen to in the office and sang along.

By lunch time word spread that I knew you. Now they think I'm awesome. So thanks for making me cool by association. Nothing cooler than a religion teacher who likes to rock out.

I would love to take credit for them being fans. But I can only listen to the music so loud in my office before Sister Mary pops her head in to ask if I've prayed yet today.

So thanks for making my job suck a little less that day.
