I'm home, & it's Thurs. - I think last time that happened was sometime last fall, but have to leave back out @ 6am, run another 600 mi or so, & get back home again tomorrow night...

Andrew said he was going to respond to Mr. Phantom's post. Ain't long-winded like Dad, gets right to the point...

There are actually 4 things that angered him:

1. They passed a rule that you had to be 18 or older to have voting rights, even though he was a paid member. He turned 18 about a month after they passed the rule. No hint to the puller membership that this was in the works. (I'd really like them to explain their reasoning for this rule...)

2. Dues were raised for the 2006 season. Again, no hint to the puller membership that this was in the works, either.

The above 2 issues went into effect before 2006. It was enough to make him hesitate to join, but did so just before the New Year. It was his decision to make... It didn't matter to me one way or another - there are other places he can pull other than around here...

3. The points fund issue. Pullers are now salesmen... Again, no hint to the puller membership that this was in the works, either.

4. Members must display a decal on their pulling vehicles. Again, no hint to the puller membership that this was in the works, either. (This is another issue where I'd like to pick their minds as to their reasoning. If you displayed a decal, wouldn't you get a kickback of some kind. Free advertisement, but the dues got raised...figure that one out...)

On the 4th issue, that's where I pull rank. No TTPA decal on my tractor. When they become up front with the puller membership, I may reconsider...
