Well, we won one and lost one.

The points fund will be a matter of choice. Sell the tickets if you want points money. We only do raffle tickets if it has to do with charity or someone down on their luck, and we didn't see either at the meeting tonight...

Lost the decal thing, though. They said it was a rule for a long time. If that's the case, why didn't we know it since '88 when we bought the Cockshutt and started pulling it? Kinda funny - minutes for the January '06 meeting showed that motion was made and passed for the decal requirement. Well, which is it - since the last meeting or a long time? Someone told us after the meeting that they looked but couldn't find the "for a long time" rule. Someone did mention in the meeting that we should be proud displaying the logo. Proud of what? I don't know - guess proud of whatever they ram down our throats right out of the blue. Never proud of that kind of stuff, reference Andrew's remark about Dad not being a member in his post above...
Well, we didn't actually lose. The decal still ain't going on the tractor. They said we won't get any points if we don't. Big deal. We'd be no-shows for a couple of the pulls anyway and be out of contention in the pts. race. No $85 sent in next year. Wonder who the real loser is...

Andrew said after the meeting "there goes 85 bucks down the crapper, shoulda just paid the non-member hook fee when I pull, cheaper that way". Watch 'em raise the non-member hook fee next year, probably in secret like normal...
