Someone ruined the sound of the songs in my opinion.
It was not mastered right. It sounds very mushy with no sonic clarity. I prefer to listen to all the originals from there proper lp's. which carry the highs and lows and oh yes the midrange the way they were intended. What was the masterer doing the day this was copied??? probably eating a tuna sandwich and chips in the next room. Maybe it was mastered from 100th generational copies who knows...for some reason which shouldn't have happened This CD lost the clarity energy and sound that the songs rightly deserve. And what is the miniscule "blubbering" I hear in "Ask the Lonely"?? Take a close listen... it sounds like the master mixer was now asleep with the tv on in the background.
