Subject: Food Permit for vending machines

Hi everyone,

I am new to the vending business.

The gov't here is telling me that I require a food health permit for my vending machines. My machines are the 25cent candy machines.

I told them ok I will get one, but then they said my cleaning methods were not suffice. They have these really ridiculous cleaning requirements. I was going to wash out my containers and sanitize them before filling them with candy. This was not good enough for the health dept.

I did talk to another person here in the vending business and they say the food permit thing is BS.

Anyone else run into this problem?
