Subject: Offical Vandalism

Where I live, my house backs onto the Memorial Hosptial Grounds. Most of the once beautiful gardens of the old hospital have been destroyed to make way for new developments. Now, this morning, a giant oak tree which had dominated the skyline has been chopped down. This tree has , or rather had been around a long time, from my childhood as I remember and probably a long time before . I don't know what they are doing over there, but I'm as mad as hell, very close to breaking the law and punching a few workmen, although to be fair, it's the Hospital Authorites who are the vandals. The tree wasn't occupying a postion which would put it in the way of progress, progress haaaaaaaaaa, or regression. Maybe one day Joni Mitchell's words will come true....yeah they cut down all the trees, put em in a tree museum now and charge the people just to see them....
