It is well documented that Sir Issac Newton felt that the measurements of the GP would give him information about the circumference of the Earth.

Sir Issac certainly wasn't reading von Daniken, Hancock, Bauval, or Clive or Don Barone.

Let us leave alone the question as to whether Sir Issac was correct in his assumption (that the AE knew of the Earth's circumfernece and so encoded in the GP).

Orthodoxy allows no room for such an assumption.
