I've tried that stuff and it maked me feel dreadful. It is reputed by medics to give a sort of 2+2=5 kick effect. The rationale behind the development of Duloxetine was that inhibition of the reuptake of both serotonin and norepinephrine would make it work better than selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. See See Wikipedia

Fortunately I'm drug free at present and by and large have been for many decades. I usually cope OK in the summertime. The SADs however kick in regularly at autumn fall and peak around Feb/March. Early morning depressions are more to be concerned about if they get a hold and lock in. Get up when the sun rises and get out and about on the bike is now my philosophy and that works. No more lying in late as I used to do in my twenties.

Drugs can mess up your liver and kidneys, alter one's blood pressure and can actually aggravate the condition one is trying to cure. Last year a friend of mine got in a mess and despite her protestations that this type of drug was making her feel suicidal, she terminated her life. The Health Service whose care she was in got a rocketing over it and bad exposure in the press.
