Subject: the 2 sphinx theory

I just spent 4 days at the mt shasta abbey budhist monestary for some spiritual refreshment. I have immediatly noticed that all the temples within the compound has 2 lions on each side as guardians.

This brought me to remember that the mayans also had 2 felines (jaguars) guarding there temples as well.

Now whether or not these ancient civilizations and religions actually met and did commerce with eachother and shared there building techniques or carl jung was right and there is a collective in the human consciousness is yet to be seen, but whatever the case, I find only one sphinx at giza to be a terrible eye sore when one looks at the whole collective picture among early ancient civulizations. After all, not only do we see 2 sphinxes carved in the thutmosis stela but it has been recorded that Herodatus said that another sphinx existed at giza and was destroyed by lightning.

So where could this other sphinx have been located?......

I can think of 2 places.... on the other side of the causeway or on the western side catching the setting of the sun while the sphinx we see now catching the rising of the sun.

Whatever the case, the sphinx or (horus) is the guardian of the Giza Plateau and one sphinx just doesn't set the mood for such based on other civlizations and ancient religions all over the world....

JC
