I have immediatly noticed that all the temples within the compound has 2 lions on each side as guardians.

the obvious response is to suggest that the Sphinx at Giza is different from the feline guardians of other sites due to the fact that the Sphinx at Giza is NOT a guardian..and is entirely unique
