Djedefre was a jerk off anyway and in my opinion not worthy to have his own pyramid next to his father Khufu. The son of a bitch bastad killed his own brother just to get the thrown then married his own sister!!!

He must have been hated for this because all his statues were broken and his face was chipped off walls. In AE, they beleived that the soul of the person was in their statues and carvings and by defacing them it would effect their after life.

But most egyptologits go a step further and say that they took apart his solar temple as well in defiance for his actions and I think that assumption is ludicrious. Do you what an undertaking that would have been to dismantle and destroy the solar temple? That theory just does not hold ground to me.

The temple collapsed because it was built on a inclined slope close to a cliff, that is why its the only temple that has a causeway that goes from north to south rather from east to west. The cliff was in the way!!!!

Secondly, the limstone of the hill it was built on later was found to be very weak and crumbling. Djedefre actually transported granite all the way from Aswan to help support the bottom part of the temple. It probably collapsed due to just plain poor planning. Don't forget during the time of ancient egypt if you lived to 45 years of age you were lucky, djedefre was already 39 when he start3d to build his solar tomb. Building it on a huge rock cut the building time in half because the natural hill composed the bottom part of the temple. He wanted to see it finished before he died.

Anyway, I don't want to talk about him anymore... the man was an asshole....
