well there's no doubt that it's a lot more stable than if it were convex. The point is ..many people tend to assume that as the pyramid went up it became it's own template. ftmp this is not true all th epyramid is a a pile of successively Smaller Squares. the dimensions of which are determined over an over again...at the corners. at the same time the mid point is easily established..and apparently purposefully set back ever so slightly.

there is also the possibility that what we are seeing is the result of an error in the original method that produced the Effect. the method involved in the surfacing of the Tufa Cladding, which imho could only logically hove been completed from the top down where the error would not have been replicated due to a different method having been employed.

The few extant unsurfaced cldding blocks on Menkaure's bear out the downwards method.

But...without some kind of corroboration, the possiblities are endless
