Subject: ANYONE REMEMBER THE SEWERS?

In fall 76, my 4th semester at Pierpont, someone organized a sewer hike. OK... technically they were storm drains. We'd start in the fields across from Boyden Gym... and end up on the far side of the parking lots across from Whitmore. Apparently a small steam entered there... and the engineers worked it into the storm drain scheme. That last jump from the drain to the grill was a killer. I didn't make it. Color me soaked!

At the time I remember that this was not the first time this sewer walk was done. I really got the sense that it was an old Pierpont, if not SW tradition.

Can anyone shed light on this?
