This interpretation was posted on IMDb by Queentulawanda. I trust she won't mind me reposting it here. Anyway, it's like way deep:

"I shall make me a willow cabin at your gate "
Willow is known for its strong and deep roots; willow trees planted too closely to a house can destroy the house's foundation. Therefore, I think she means that she will make a cabin - with strong, deep roots - for herself at her gate.

The gate is a boundary; therefore, I believe she is asking her beloved to break through her gate - her boundary - to come to her. She builds the cabin at the beloved's gate to make it as easy as possible for the beloved to cross her boundaries. And the boundary? It's the parents' expectations of what the beloved is to be - and what she is NOT to be, a lesbian.

"and call upon my soul within the house"
She calls upon her soul within the house, just as a worshipper calls upon God once inside God's house. The cabin is her 'house of worship' for worshipping the beloved. Calling up her soul within the house is saying that she worships her beloved within the house as she could never do in public. Her soul is hidden from everyone; but in her cabin, she can call it up in its true state, without condemnation from anyone.

"Write loyal cantons of contemned love "
Loyal cantons are another word for religious hymns, and the condemned love is their gay relationship.

"And sing them loud even in the dead of night"
She'll sing these songs of worship of her beloved without shame, for any to hear, regardless of how she feels - be it day (happiness) or night(depression).

"Halloo your name to the reverberate hills "
Make her name holy and familiar to everyone.

"And make the babbling gossip of the air Cry out 'Victoria!' "
She will praise her beloved, regardless of the opinions of the masses, until they all know her beloved by name.
