I think it best we continue this conversation when you read the book. The book is so much more than the movie could ever be. I think you will really enjoy it. I read it about four years ago and couldn't put it down. I have the book so if you'd like a discussion just tell me the page number and we'll converse :)
The movie never really revealed the depth of of the relationships between Astrid and either Claire or Ingrid.
At least in L&D movie, there was never really any misunderstanding between the girls and how deep their love went.
