- Re: One reason is you have your display settings too low. The only way i can fix it is to delete stuff. minimize everything so your wallpaper shows on the screen. right click and then click display properties. Set it to 800x600 or higher. (NT) -- melissa, 16:16:18 12/13/04 Mon

To Siglinda Smoak's Secret Pal, Thank You for the sweet gifts at DDA. I love the little Thanksgiving bowl...and had to take a peek at the Christmas package as well. I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to your message until now. We have all been SOOO sick here, my son's been in the hospital with pneumonia, Emily's had a bad ear infection, and I have had bronchitis for 2 and a half weeks! Hi SP!! I am sorry I didn't see this earlier. I just found out the board number! This is the first time for us to do the secret pal thing. I chose to do it because I think it's nice to see moms (and dads, grandmas, etc.) to pamper each other as well because of all the hard work we all put into the pageants. :) I have 2 children, a boy who is about to be 8, and a girl, who is about to be 9. I also have one husband (lol), one dog, 4 cats, and 6 kittens; want one? (oops, meant the kittens, not the husband hehe)! I have a very strong Christian faith and my hobbies include: any activity related to my family. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. We started on Wed night at my husband brothers house for dinner with his family, then Thurs at lunch at his sisters with all his brothers & sisters and their kids, then that evening at my Mom's Sisters house in OKLA with all my cousins, then on Fri at lunch my Mom's with just my sisters, then Fri afternoon at his other brothers for dinner & the gang then on Sat afternoon at our house with his bunch still and finally Sunday after church at his Mom's. My husband is one of 1o kids and my Mom is one of 10 ....so we have big families on both sides. He had his sister in from Irvine, CA & Houston and all the rest live in the area. They take the week off and do alot of hunting and stuff sooo it was Thanksgiving all week. My Mom and hers sister and their kids always do Thanksgiving together. It's so neat to get together ever year since we were little kids! We just kept on eating like the engerizer bunny...we kept going & going & going........... Yes, we try. My husbands side has 32 nieces & nephews and mine only 4. We buy for all of them. I make sure that everyone gets a special little gift just for them from us. It drives my husband crazy because everyone doesn't do that on his side but my family has always exchanged gifts. so whether they do or don't with us ..we always have a gift for them. It has taught my girls that Christmas is about The Birth of Our King and we bring gifts of good tidings to all. How it is better to give that receive. Boy have things been crazy around here..... I was getting ready to take the kids to ride rides at the fair on Monday and I stepped on a curtain rod. I now have a 1/2 inch puncture wound the shape of a basic curtain rod. I was bleeding everywhere !!! but we got to go to the fair after all. We all had a blast !!! Hope your day is great. The chocolate was supposed to be for you lol. It was so you could lock yourself in the bathroom away from the kiddos for a little bit and relax. I am going to try to send something for the kids each time. When I send pal packages or care packages I normally include something that the mom can give the kids right away or save for a "rainy day" aka "a mommy I'm bored day" or "go play and give mommy 10 minutes peace". I found it! I was gone for the weekend and didn't return until yesterday. Good thing I ran out of cokes in the house and had to get one out of the outside refrigerator. I love candles but will have to hide it from my family,especially my #2 little brother. He makes candles as a hobby so he loves any kind of candle. Hey, Patience! I'm so glad you liked your stuff. I had to choose between an I Love Lucy tote purse and the Elvis one, but the Elvis purse was really too cute to resist! I have two really cute purses in my closet, but I haven't used them yet because I'm too lazy to clean out my old one.......and a little afraid of what I might find in there!!! lol Maybe I'll clean it out on Halloween and give myself a good scare! I got my package today and I LOVE everything in it. The Cucumber Melon Bath Salts,Foot Lotion and Face Wash are GREAT !!! It sure will help relieve my stress. Secret Pal..... I received my package today and I was amazed at the things I received. I love everything from the lunch kit, microwave bowl, baseball & basketball lunch box cooler, pocket calender,magzine.Sorry it was hard shopping for me but I was an elementary PE Coach and I also coached two girls basketball team. Oh Boy.....We have so much in common. I also coached 5 years in the elementary level. I didn't do basketball teams but I did special Olympics for a while. I retired to raise my 2 kids. I still have one at home, a 3 year old boy. My daughter is 5 and I discovered pageants when she was 1 year old. It was fun when she didn't have to wear makeup and hair. Now I'm lost, I don't even wear makeup and I have to put it on her. LOL!! Does that happened to you too? I love my tennis, shorts and T-shirts. I'm also doing girlie girlie things!! Secret Pal!!!!!!! It is always wonderful to hear from you. I am a disabled veteran raising my 4 year old lady:). I enjoy the natural and glitz pageant but we do not do them that often.
