Subject: Still stumbling around

I was just stumbling around the web and came across this site. I was blown away when i saw all the familiar names. The scariest part of it is the range of time that they span. I remember names from the CHAINS (very late sixties) all the way to the later "Mike Olsen" years (Late seventies) I'll bet Mike never thought that he would mark an era.
I remember when the CHAINS (Donny and Frankie boy Carolei, John Barney, Wally, Ray, Johnny Dropout DiPaolo, Trackwalker, Joey Paolini, Shari Richmond, Lori Greene, Hannah, Fran Serpa, Kerry & Terry (Peaches), etc. hung out in the fifth building sitting area. The crazy lady next door would turn a hose them to get rid of them. I was only a kid then and i thought they were so cool. I used to hang with Neil Serpa, Peter Greene back then, along with Dave Rubin, Barry Bowers, Brian Reiff and the rest of our sorted crew.

In the very early seventies our crew sort of inherited the chess tables from the previous crew (many of the names in other posted messages: Richie Klein, Bobby Snyder, Joey Musco, etc.).

Our crew, Dave Rubin, Barry Bowers, Andy(Spanky)Leeds, Cooker, Steve Seidner, Joe Monahan, Steve Babitz, Ron(Barney)Stone, Dicky Snyder, Eileen & Brian(Bean)Ahearn, Chert, Stanley W., Ray (XRay), Al Dolente Steve Savarese, Ralph Marino, Garth Cooperman, Stanley Seigel, Eddie Giordano, Joe Roperto, Dom Lipariti, Terry & Jill, Debbie Bonino, Sherry W. Robin Krause, Kathy, Connell, Marisa Paolini, Topo and a load of others played lots of ball partied like crazy.

Through all of the years, Trackwalker was always there. He was immortal. I couldn't kill himself if he tried. Lord knows he did.

Okay... 10 points for anyone who knows trackwalkers real name. Dave, you Donny and Frankie boy can't answer this one.

Hint: Initials are C.F.

Its good to see all the old names if not the faces. Its even better to know that some brain cells were spared.

Regards all,

Rich Diamond

>Dear Richie: wow. this almost makes me famous. It's me, Eileen Ahearn. How are you? O.K. I bite, I use to know Tony Trackwalkers real name, Carmine [can't remember last name]. He was so handsome before the drugs, looked nothing like his real self by the time I was 16. I'm living in Bay Ridge. I will probably talk to Cooker tonight. My brother Brian still lives in the old neighborhood even though everyone tells him to leave. How is everything with you and your family? Dave? Karen? write back!

Hi Richie,

It is Bonnie from the 5th building. Remember me? I of course remember everyone that you mention. It has been a long time.

It has been a long time since I posted last to this page.
Nice to see some other people have found it. I used to be friends with Jodie Green, and Dawn Richman. Then, I hung out in the park and Utica Ave., etc.

Amazing how time flies...

Take care all,

Hi Bonnie,

Of course I remember you. I saw all your previous postings and was wondering when you were going to get back on the board. How have you been? I see and speak to Dave Rubin and Steve Kline on a regular basis. As a result of this ite i've also made contact with Eileen and Debbie. If you want to take this off the board, you can email me. Good to hear from you.

Regards,
Rich
