O.K. Dave - it's Ahearn not Ahern. How the hell are you? Evertime I hear the song "money" by Pink Floyd I think of you. You use to play it on your stereo (that's how you know you're old - remembering LPs). I heard from Cooker last night and will probably hang out with him tonight (8/27/02). I spoke to Thomas Columbo last week at Hal Gordon's block party in Staten Island. Do you remember Thomas? I also know where Brucie is. I've gotten a message from Eddie Giordano (he is living upstate, remarried and has 2 kids I know of, maybe more). Can you reply and let me know what happened to Paul Koppa? Is he dead? I hope not. Cooker told me that Skully passed away, but Keith is fine. You forgot to mention (when discussing blowing things up) the time Eddie Giordano made a bomb out of car compound and the gun powder gleamed from about 2,000 fire crackers and placed it behind 251 school in the small outcove by the back door. He blew out all the windows on that side of the school. Huhm, what would we say about such behaviour in teenagers today? So, I am divorced and live in Bay Ridge. Cooker lives in Bay Ridge also. I'll tell him about reading your message and responding. How are you? still in NY? Married with kids? write back. Eileen

Sorry about the spelling Ma Kelly Ahearn, what would a Jew know about the correct spelling of an Irish name?? Well we made it to 40 years and above that is, almost wasn't sure if I would. I was out of control so to speak during my 20's, but cleaned up after during 30. Thank God. I'm married with kids. An 18 year step daughter and a very funny 2 year old. Been with my wife for 11 years, and I'm sure I don't have to tell about the institution of marriage it’s got its up’s and down’s. Otherwise things are pretty good, a job, health and even some peace of mind on rare occasions. Am glad to here Brian is alive, no matter were he’s living, for many years I kept hearing rumors that he was dead. Yes I do remember Tommy Colombo and had run into Brucie upstate at the Concord it’s a small world. Tell Cooker I said hello it’s been a while since I saw him. I went with Rich Diamond and Steve Klein to see the Who last month, and had a very nostalgic time, most of the people where our age so I didn’t feel like an old fart. Not like when I went with my daughter to a show in Forest Hills and was the old fart, who almost got caught in a mosh pit. As For Mister Koppa, I saw him at Randy Green’s wedding many moon’s ago, he was dressed real sharp and was smoking a pipe, so I’ll assume he’s alive and doing fine somewhere Upstate. That was some real insanity back in the day. Before I forget, do you remember skinny dipping in Rockaway and getting brought in to the police station, because I couldn’t shut my big mouth? My e-mail address is dave12x12@aol.com, if you let me know yours I’ll send some photos, it’s been so long (about 24 years) that I’m not sure what you look like?? My older sister who I don’t thing you knew, has a deli in Bklyn on Bay Parkway and 86th St. ( The Empress) and she’s married to the one and only Donnie Carolei, my brother-in-law, so I always have a little reminder of the old day’s. It would be nice for all of us to get together at some point in the near future. There is another message board called the Flatbush Terrace Message Board at http://www.voy.com/15890/ take a look.
Chow for Now
Dave
