The draft may help me, but I'm finding the list of 44 has meant I'm getting a 22 every week, which didn't happen last year.

The draft may help those who have long term injuries and any mid term retirees. It effectively becomes a trade because you swap your duds with a slightly better dud unless a rookie has been promoted (like Lovett and Tuck last year).

[> My call:Decide between a R9 or R13 Draft/Trade period -- RB, 18/05/06 10:41:23pm [1]

Not both.

Why: it doubles the workload & i aint got the time.

Agree R13 is fairer but think its to late in the season.
Therefore i favour R9.

As long as the cream goes to the bottom teams from the free agents list i'm happy.

cheers RB

Get the number you finished last year, add the number you are at round 9, get these numbers and form another ladder. This give success or lack of last year, coupled with success at the beginning of this year. Lowest first highest last.

Don't worry I suprise myself sometimes ;)

Has all 14 teams got a chance to improve their lists or is it just 3-4 good players in the mix

If we are to have this Draft at the end of Round 9, I suggest we keep the order of the teams at the conclusion of Round 9.

We should not consider how teams finished last year because some teams are either stronger or weaker.

Bombers, Bitchmond, Kangaroos are not as good as last year. Dodgies need a hand too.
On the otherhand Fockers,Cats, Aints and Swans have improved and do not need the same boost as do the sides that are struggling in 2006.

MG77B, I have penciled in about 7 players that would be really worth picking up. With Pick 13, I think I will probably give it a miss.
Libba will be involved with 1 pick only.

[> [> [> Ok I'm happy to go with the order after R9 -- MG77B, 19/05/06 1:51:49pm [1]

I orginally was leaning to R13, but it is getting to late into the year for those players to make a difference in anyones rise from the depths of the Superleague Ladder.

Just use the standings at the end of r9 for the order of draft picks

Yes teams have rised and fell from last year, thats why I said to take both efforts into account. So say you finished 12th last year, now you are 7th your combined score is 19. Say someone has fell, say 7th last year, and have fallen to 12th, they too get 19, in that case, the team to of fallen gets a pick before the other 19.
