Tough job u want there Shabby but for the 4 reasons listed below reckon its a good outcome.
1/ Your a Kangaroo supporter
2/ The Dodgies (on paper) seem a better squad & should be easier to sell to a new coach.
3/ The current Kangas coach is constantly AWOL
Depends what the others think i spose.

I probably shouldn't say this but........... -- SL, 24/04/06 8:24:57pm [1]
If the name Kangaroos is available, you could simply change names, and keep the best squad. Why I shouldn't say that, is that it would be harder to get a coach for the poorer side, but it is an option I think. Put it this way, it has been done before.

Might sound weird, but I'd actually prefer to take the weaker squad. I reckon its more challenging and a good way to start in a game which has been going for a while.

While on rebuilding -- Howie, 24/04/06 11:21:01pm [1]
Has there been thought put into priority picks. Now that they've been scrapped from the AFL, will they also be scrapped from here.
If it hasn't already been, it's probably something that should be set in stone before it becomes an issue.
Cheers

I wouldn't mind seeing us go out on a limb -- Howie, 25/04/06 11:39:31am [1]
Let's keep priority picks for those that win less than 25 per cent, but in awarding the PPs assign them to after the first round.
Therefore meaning, if you fall into the PP bracket, you would get picks 1 and 15, rather than 1 and 2.
Just a thought.
Go Pies, I'm pumped for this one...
