Nayra. this does not look particularly good for us, considering.... the first card is Gryphon Kin, a sort of creature bred from different gryphonic and gryfalcon species. very fast, very deadly. the second one, lightning- is its attack card. its defense is Onyx.... well, lets see what its giving us to fight it with.... ~+~*she drew 3 more cards, in the same order. they showed a small fairy sitting on a flower (in brightly colored dresses), a fire ball, and a small forest. she smiled.*~+~ Rai'Sen'Ouia, Hi'Andos, Shaia'Rei'Tao.... Akya? this is great luck, absolutely great luck!!! this is the Fairy Child- the fae cards generally have power over the mythical beasts..... the card is fire, but against onyx, the attack would be relatively weak. but the forest is earth, and will nullify lightning attacks. the lock cant win against this..... i wonder if it will still want to fight? ~+~*she picked up her three cards, and the three cards chosen for the lock. she placed them both before the door, and stepped back.*~+~ first, and please understand this- our kind used these types of locks to ensure that only our kind could get through. theres some kind of power in them that pulls the contents of the seal to the top of the deck when you draw from it, and another that ensures that you use the next cards drawn if you wish to fight. defeating the creature in the lock will allow you passage to the other side of its guard- failing looses the cards presented. that is why people not of our race often loose their cards this way, what few of them have cards to begin with. they come with an incomplete or un-balanced deck, and they end up with something that they cant win with, but they never know it because they can not read the thoughts burried in the cards. however, if the fight is one-sided in favor of the traveler, the lock will often just disable its self. ~+~*you heard a click, and then the door slowly opened. Kiel'Lora picked the cards up.*~+~ ....i worked long and hard to get these cards from our elders. they would never forgive me if i lost them....
