Yeah, I have no idea as to why the writers have not devoted any time whatsoever to Peggy's side of the family. Her side of the family has only been mentioned in passing and rare flashbacks, and it is time to shed some light on Peggy's problems with her mother, reveal whether or not Peggy had, or still has, a father, explain the deal with her brother, and so on and so forth. It would also add a little more depth to her character, because Peggy has not been given much to work with as of late.

I do think they should put Ladybird to sleep, but I am also thinking about who among the regular characters might get it next. Cotton is a safe bet, perhaps even Boomhauer (just like the way "South Park" killed off Kenny for an entire season).

I do not think it is a smart idea devoting a lot of time to Boomhauer. He is good as a supporting character, but he is like Kramer on "Seinfeld." The less you know, the better.

There is a lot to Bill that they could work with, starting with his divorce. Apparently, he may have been sexually abused by his father, so I do not want to delve into his childhood, but what brought him to Arlen and his rocky marriage are furtile ground for material.

Here is an idea: The writers should do a flashback episode dating back to the early- or mid-90s so they can show Bill during his marriage as well as a younger Hank and Peggy raising an infant Bobby. They could do a lot of other stuff with it, too, like revealing Dave Henson, the 500-pound shut-in who lived next to Hank and Peggy before Kahn and his family moved in.

Out.
