For those of you who are not thinking straight. I will explain it this way. It is because of the previous administration that we are in this mess. The previous administration and the previous fire chief are the people who went after the 88 number in our contract. I did not say I supported it at all. All I said was that I tried to warn others that a negotiated settlement was the proper way to settle this. What we got was the attack mentality and lost. I would love to see the 9 engines and two trucks still in service as well as the 104 men who were working at the time I started. I really would. Many of the newer men have no clue how much we have sacrificed and given up over the years. If the Mayor and Council had the money to place all of our pieces in service, I am sure they would do the best they could. Instead of venting here, why not come and talk to me personally. Most people will remember I was the first person to place my name on this site last year. Mark can attest to that. Vent your anger where it belongs. Larry
