Subject: How Come?

There have been a lot of points on this forum page that totally have made sense but there doesn't seem to be an answer for it. For example, it certainly is the former administrations fault that we are in the mess that we are in, but what did happen to the state coming in and doing some checking? You cannot tell me that just because you are mayor that you have the complete power to do whatever you please with the taxpayers money and not be held responsible for it, that is why an audit in the eyes of a taxpayer would have been money very well spent, even though it probably would not have amounted to a hill of beans, it would sure show that this administration cared enough to show people where their hard earned money had gone. It just seemed too crazy that from day one of the new adminstration take over that it has been shoved down our throats to forget about the past when it was so important to remember about it during the election. I also think that someone should definetly send the "Hose Dudes for Leighton" picture right to him as a reminder of the enormous support they gave him, its just too bad he didn't mention what he had planned to do before he AND city council were elected.
