Thank you for the welcome. I dearly love Lord John and was thrilled to find a board devoted just to him.
But what about the curse? I have read a number of discussions about John and Isobel and agree with all that you have written. But leaving all those considerations aside, there is still the curse. The only reason I take it seriously is because Diana Gabaldon dips into the supernatural occasionally (Claire being healed after her miscarriage and the Indian's ghost). The gypsy's curse was probably just put in there as a joke, but anything is possible with DG, and I couldn't help wondering if she meant it as forshadowing. Emilie Rose
