Hello! I have been gone so long I don't even know where to begin! I've missed chatting with my fellow LJ lovers (sigh, I wish!) I wanted to sat, Jan, what a great point you've made. Every time we speak of John, or think of him, our POV is coloured by the fact that we know him. We know him as a gay man. The Dunsany's however, would never even consider the notion. I'm so glad you are back Oleander! Vicki is going to start doing quotes again tomorrow, so I took a peek at the board today to see if anything was happening, and saw your note. I am SO GLAD the board isn't dead! I hope all the gang come back for Vicki's week of quotes to breathe some life back into this board and make it worth keeping around. - There was a post on Broch Talk the other day where the poster mentioned that women who love John made her "sick". Since I certainly don't want to be responsible for making anyone feel ill, I think we need to keep this board around.       - Oh...I see. I just don't want people to be angry at each other here! This is kind of like our little place of peace in an otherwise crazy world! Even thogh I have not read his series (in truth, I barely have time to read a creal box!), I do check these board and read the quotes. It has actually given me more insight into his character. For me, too bad Bree went back. I really did love thier exchanges! I kind of thought under different circumstances, they would make a cool couple. Then agian, I do love Roger (the description of his looks makes him the best-looking of the bunch for me. I just love tall, long dark haired men. And no my DH looks nothing like that! 5'9", auburn hair (more reddish than brown) and green-brown eyes. Ofcourse I have to say he is the best looking of the bunch-and he is to me!
