It can bespeak such loving care, concern, tenderness and devotion. And for warriors like Stephan and Jamie, looming over and in can also be used to great effect as an intimidation tactic! It's funny that John's shortness does nothing to diminish his appeal for me, however much I like thinking of these tall lords and lairds! I think the Jamie/Stephan parallels and contrasts would be a wonderfully rich theme for additional exploration in books to come, and I hope we'll see more of it from Herself. On another note, Jane, are you doing QOTD next week here on this board or over on the Books Board? Judie's list has you down for the Week of the 17th over there. Yikes, good thing you mentioned it Pamela. I volunteered for this board, not the book board. I have nothing prepared for the Book Board. Thanks for letting me know about the mix up. - Is it allowed to post the same quotes on both boards? It would be an interesting exercise to see the differences in the types of responses. I love Stephan, he was such a buffoon when we first meet him at Benedicta's German night but when John succumbs to the mercury and he comments on how it was not such a nice sofa anyway - that just won me over right there. His concern for John is so touching. It's like that first incident opened the door for him to take proprietary interest in John's well being that grows in every book.   - Just a word of warning, if you are signing up to do QOTD be SPECIFIC, using the contact forum administrator link on the bottom of the page doesn't make it clear to Judie that you want to do one board or the other. Perhaps one of you might want to sign up for the B.B. QOTD for next week? If not, I'll hunt up some quotes by Sunday for the B.B. I don't think a huge percentage of the ladies there would get too excited about the John/Stephan quotes. I'm especially afraid they'd be a real disappointment after a week of GREAT sex quotes.
