Subject: What strikes me in this quote is that John equates love with madness and yearning - therefore he can't be in love with Stephan. I think part of John's maturation over the next stories is the realization that being in love is more than infatuation. It deepens and transforms his feelings for both Stephan and Jamie when he 'get's' that.

  • I like the questioning of his feelings, "Was he in love?" Yes, there are so many degrees of love. I wish English had more words for love like the Greeks. (NT) -- tlk2vicki, 15:06:06 02/18/08 Mon
