Subject: Exactly Carol! I though of Roger and the Reverend when reading this scene. How lucky he was to raise Roger and not miss out on fatherhood due to his calling and how lucky John was getting to raise Willie, not just for Jamie's sake but for his opportunity to be a father as well!
In reply to: Carol P 's message, "This scene reminds me of Roger telling Bree how he and the Reverend would stomp around the study as monsters slaying bad guys and destroying things. And Ian's letter to Jamie where Ian tells about having to be an Indian with mud on his face as war paint so the bairns can kill him. This is one of the things that great dads do, I think. I am sooo sure John was a wonderful father." on 19:11:43 03/08/08 Sat
