Subject: And doesn't that really say something for John's character! John is still willing to try and help the boy at the bridge. Amazing. It's so easy to let the horrible things, that happen to us in life, make us bitter and self-centered. My stepson is like John. Levi still carries around a huge caution-sign, but he says if you give up totally nothing will ever change and no one will ever understand, so you keep struggling along trying to convince people you are normal human being with normal feelings that are just as easily damaged as a hetrosexuals are. *VBG* BTW, my child says I can "out" him on this board if I want to, since he's been out of the closet for 15 years now, it's gone beyond me thinking I'd embarrass him to him thinking that I'm embarrassed By Him. NOT true! My son is gay and he's my pride and joy! He also said, if y'all have questions... ask, he'll either answer *VBG* or ask you one in return. :-D
In reply to: Jane 's message, "When I think that he was only 16 at the time too..and his heart already aching from losing Hector. How awful and alone he must have felt. No wonder he grew into such a strong man, you are right my heart hurts for the young confused teen he once was. Remember Judie's comment last week about how John tried to help the young German soldier at the bridge? I wish John had someone like that to understand and advise him here." on 06:15:48 12/18/07 Tue
