Subject: My DS and his fiancee were just having this discussion. He wants to enlist in the Army for sake of "duty and destiny" [his words]. His fiancee is totally against the military, America's involvement in Iraq (and Republicans) in particular. DS explains his decision has nothing to do with politics, rather patriotism. Is my son claiming that he is interested in the cause?

  • No, I think I just answered my own question? He would be going into the Army 'medic' corps, swooping in to take out the wounded soldiers. He doesn't care about liberating the Iraqi people as much as defending our country and saving our soldiers. (NT) -- tlk2vicki, 20:32:11 12/29/07 Sat
